Our World Outreach
Community recognizes the importance of a global outreach program, obeying the command of Mark 16:15 to "Go ye into all the world." Here are some of the ways we emphasize missions:
Mission Trips - Teen and adult mission trips give those of us here at home a chance to experience the mission field first-hand. The church also recognizes the value of a senior pastor visiting the field, and sends out Pastor Steadman periodically to encourage, and to preach and teach for our missionaries.
Giving - In addition to special offerings and designated giving by church members at least 20% of our annual church budget is used for our missions program.
Missions Month - A highlight of our church calendar is missions month, when several missionaries present their works and the congregation is reminded of the importance of prayer support and financial giving necessary for the effective spread of the gospel outside our local area.
